Yongzheng Six-Characters Mark
Both delicately potted with deep rounded sides resting on a short straight foot, the exterior applied with a lavender glaze stopping neatly at the foot, interior and the base are dressed in creamy white glaze. The base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within a double-circle.
This pair of bowls is an archetypal example of Yongzheng monochrome porcelain in its gracefulness and refinement of form. Such perfection could only be attained through a flawlessly formed vessel covered in the purest of glazes and fired at the precise temperature.
